Just in case you wonder....

....where all the posts have gone. All the links on Sharebee are deleted (for whatever reason). I will reorganize the blog and re-upload the old files. Stay tuned.

  1. If it can help, let me know which albums you want to upload (on which service). I've kept a lot of yours, if you give me a list, i could tell you what I can do :)

  2. It'll be alright.
    Good luck in the job!
Your blog is one of the best for the 60s sounds!

  3. Oh no! Your blog has been a great source of rare recordings over the years, it stinks you've gotta do all that work again. But thank you for making the effort!

  4. This was a great blog. An incredible source for discovering sounds -- for both listening and reading about them. I look forward to your return.

  5. I've been downloading The Immediate Singles box that you posted, so I was upset when you said the links were gone. I went to a Google cached version of that post and the links still work fine there. Maybe there is some hope after all.

  11. This blog is definitely one of my favourites for 60s music, so much stuff that's hard to find elsewhere, so hope that it all gets sorted. Thanks for all the effort you put into it, very much appreciated.

  13. Thanks to all the pretty people for the feedback. Also a big thanks to support me with the uploads, but that's not necessary. I've stored all the files. A nice side-effect: some neat new comments with updated infos and impressions.

  15. Trag es wie ein Mann, like Rattle Achim used to say, but I guess you'll do that anyway... But give yourself a break, billyboy, and listen to the new prae-kraut vol. 20 on spurensicherung.blogspot.com . 4 new Austrian goodies and a Belgian band with a Swiss-only 45 there. Best wishes, the Lolly Pope.

  25. BB,

I'm sorry to hear you are having such difficulties with Sharebee. I personally feel as if Mediafire and Megaupload are the best file hosts. I upload the majority of my files to Mediafire, and with a few rare exceptions, my download links are all working just fine. However, I believe that Megaupload has the best record in regard to keeping files alive. They have also taken a strong stance against the RIAA, and refused to turn over information about their uploaders. The majority of the time when I stumble across an album I would like to have, and the download link happens to be a couple of years old, it is usually still alive if it was uploaded at MU. However, if it was uploaded to RS or other services, 9 times out of 10 the download link is no longer active.

I hope that your luck improves soon. Please let me know if there is any way I can help. You can contact me at either of the links below.

  27. @Buffalo Billycan:

I'm still waiting to hear back from you. I'm updating the Digital Meltd0wn Music Blogroll and removing all of the inactive blogs. Unfortunately I run across a lot of blogs which make posts similar to this one, and yet they never return. I was hoping that you could confirm that you plan to return, since it has been more than four months since you have posted anything. Please contact me at either one of my blogs (links below). Take care.

  28. I don't know if you do requests (or even if you're still active!), but I'd love to hear more music by "First Crow to the Moon", who's single "The Sun Lights up the Shadows of Your Mind" is on the Ah Feel Like Ahcid compilation.

    Thanks for an awesome blog!

  29. ...and on the Psychedelic Unknowns compilations. Caveman78 posted the whole series on his excellent "Paradise Of Garage Comps" blog. "The Sun Lights Up The Shadows" is on Volume 7 and you can find it under the following link:

  30. It would be beneficial if you posted another update to say that the blog is active and to give a status update.

It's been more than three years since the last real post and four months since you posted that you were returning. The site looks a lot like a ghost blog.

You may still be restoring posts but you should let the readers know. Maybe throw up something new, then go back to restoring.
