V.A. - Chocolate Soup For Diabetics Vol. 1

This is by request. Classic compilation with all the goodies and a bit rough sound. All the tracks here were compiled for the first time as it was released (Relics LSD 1 / 1980). Brings a bit memories back as I have bought this on vacation in London together with the first volumes of "Endless Journey", "Psychedelic Unknowns", "Pebbles" and "Boulders" in a small record shop by the recommendation of the owner (I just asked for a TV Personalities 7-inch and he answered "Sure, but if you like this why don't you try that?"). This compilation starts with Arthur Brown's "I Am The God Of Hellfire And I Bring You..." intro and then skips into the "Voice" track (on later editions this intro was deleted). Also a bit strange is the fact that the "Apple" track was faded in and the piano intro on Tintern Abbey's "Beeside" was erased. Finally the last song by "The Unexplained" was according to Julian Cope's webzine the work of an early '80s band. These informations I do know NOW but 28 years back I was just stunned of the music that I have heard.
