Tyrnaround - Succeeds When Daylight Fails (1989)

One and only full length album of Melbournes finest psychedelic act from the eighties. I have posted their glorious "Colour Your Mind" E.P. in december (if you haven't heard it yet, GO AND GET IT!). As "Succeeds When Daylight Fails" was released in 1989 (Polyester LUV 12) I was a bit disappointed about the product. The cover art was a major catastrophe and the music was a bit flat to my ears. Well, this was nineteen years ago but as I have heard the album recently I was very pleased. The a-side is nearly perfect psychedelic with a floydish feel, only "Jawbone" is a bit weak in comparison. The flip is sadly not of the same standard but still ok and "Somewhere To Go" the stand out track on the b-side.

Tracklist:
- As I Walk With You
- Nothing
- Jawbone
- Uncle Sydney
- This Time
- Keys And Chains
- Constance
- Somewhere To Go
- Vox 1 (What I Need)
- Time Again
- Look Inside
